At Fresh Aesthetics for Life we don’t try to make you someone you aren’t.  Our aim is to provide a natural, fresh look for our clients. Our goal is not to give the “frozen” look of old, but through an individualised total face assessment, the use of the right product and expert administration by experienced and trained medical practitioners, to create a fresh and relaxed look.

Anti-wrinkle injections are used to treat wrinkles and fine lines. They use a natural, purified protein to temporarily relax the facial muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles.

The brand names of products cannot be used here due to TGA regulations, but all are safe, effective and licensed for use in Australia by registered medical practitioners.

They have been used within the cosmetic industry for over 25 years, but have been used for longer in the medical setting.

You will begin to notice a change in lines within 2-5 days. Maximum effect is reached within 2 weeks and results last approximately 3 months for most people. The onset and offset of effect is gradual making for a more natural result. With repeated treatments, the muscles weaken and treatment spacing can often be increased. Anti-wrinkle injections last for approximately 3 months, depending on the individual. The result will usually wear off progressively after 2 months as expression lines gradually return to their original appearance. The lines will never be worse after treatment

Anti-wrinkle injections are very safe, particularly when administered by an experienced medical practitioner. It should also be remembered that they are not permanent and will gradually wear off within 3 months.

Very minor bruising may occur, which is usually pinpoint in size and easily covered with makeup.  If anti wrinkle injections are placed in the incorrect muscle or in the incorrect dose, asymmetry may occur. This may be corrected with an additional injection.

Approximately 3% of people experience mild headache with their first treatment. This is usually managed with over the counter painkillers such as paracetamol and is usually not present with further treatments.

Dermal Fillers, often just referred to as fillers, are products that are injected into the skin with very fine needles or cannulas to fill in defects such as creases, lines, wrinkles and scars or to enhance facial features, replace volume and promote a more youthful appearance.  

Fillers used by Fresh Aesthetics 4 Life are all made from hyaluronic acid which is a substance that occurs naturally in the human body. Different formulations of this are made in a medical laboratory to best suit the needs of each client. Some are designed to give a more rigid structure as is needed to enhance cheeks or jawlines. Others are more flexible and are designed to increase volume and are used in areas such as lips. All of these products contain local anaesthetic to increase your comfort.

The products used cannot be named due to Australian TGA regulations, but all are safe, effective and registered for use in Australia by registered medical practitioners. 

Fillers create volume, stimulate the body’s natural production of hyaluronic acid and draw water into the area creating a plumping effect. Effects can be seen immediately and results usually last between 6 and 12 months. Some people report even more lasting effects.

What areas can be treated?

Fillers have many uses and a full face assessment will help define how to achieve your best result. Areas commonly focussed on include -

• Enhancing cheeks for a more flattering profile
• Restoring volume to the mid face, creating a “foundation” to lift sagging in the lower face
• Adding volume to lips to correct asymmetry, restore lost volume, add definition and shape or create a fuller lip effect
• Replacing lost volume along the jawline to address jowls, loss of jaw angle and skin sagging
• Filling small lines around the mouth, marionette lines and nasolabial folds
• Improving sagginess around the eyes
• Restoring balance to the face by replacing volume loss in the chin area

Skinboosters are made from Hyaluronic Acid (HA)which is found naturally in the skin. HA helps maintains the smoothness, elasticity and hydration of skin, but unfortunately decreases with age. While HA is found in many well-known skin serums and creams that are applied to the outside of the skin, Skinboosters are injected INTO the skin to provide a more effective and lasting result.Skinboosters have been clinically proven to:

Migraines, cluster headaches and tension headaches are typically treated with pain medications such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), anti-seizure agents, and some anti-depressants, as well as specialised migraine prescriptions. These medications are all aimed at managing the pain, associated signs and symptoms. 

Neurotoxin, known best for its anti-wrinkle treatment properties, can work as a prevention alongside pain medications in the direct treatment and prevention of headache and migraine.

Neurotoxin can be effective at preventing, lessening the number of migraine headaches, and reducing the severity of your migraine symptoms.

Bruxism – the medical term for teeth grinding – occurs most often in children but also affects an estimated 8% of adults. The grinding usually happens during sleep and can damage teeth, cause pain, and result in headaches and jaw problems. According to the American Dental Association, children may begin to grind their teeth in response to pain, discomfort from colds, ear infections, allergies and other health problems. Neurotoxin works by relaxing the chewing (and grinding) muscles of the jaw called you masseters. By interrupting the signals to these muscles they weaken over time.

It is important to note, that the muscle will continue to work and eating is not affected. 

The active ingredient in anti-wrinkle injections has been formulated into a solution which is applied topically to the inside of the nose by inhalation or sniffing. The delivery technique, which is also commonly used for nasal treatments and pain relief for children in hospital is pain-free and easy to use. No needles are involved.

For those who experience excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) of the armpits, hands, feet, head, or face, Neurotoxin injections have been shown to be a safe and effective treatment following the exclusion of  medical causes and other treatments have failed.
